Cancellation Policy

1. About This Cancellation Policy
This policy applies to all tour packages, desert safaris, camp stays, taxi and other services booked through thejaisalmer.com. The word "departure" means the scheduled start time of your tour as confirmed in your written itinerary. Refund amounts are payable as described in our Refund Policy.
2. Cancellation By You
The refund share depends on how much notice before departure you give us in writing (email or WhatsApp). Our default approach is generous — cancellations outside the tight windows below are refunded in full:

3. Peak-Season Bookings
Bookings that fall over the Jaisalmer Desert Festival, Christmas–New Year week or other announced peak dates follow stricter supplier terms, communicated in your written quote before payment. Deposit amounts for these periods are non-refundable, though a date change to a non-peak period may be possible subject to availability.
4. Rescheduling (Date Changes)
- One free date change is allowed for notice of 7 days or more, subject to availability.
- Later changes attract a flat rescheduling fee, communicated before confirmation.
- Changed dates follow the prevailing season's prices — any difference is settled before confirmation.
5. Cancellation Or Change By Us
If we must cancel, shorten or materially change your tour for reasons within our control, you may choose:
- A full refund of everything paid; or
- A free reschedule to a later date; or
- Where possible, an equivalent alternative (e.g. a different camp of similar standard) at no extra cost.
6. Weather & Safety Conditions
Desert activities are weather-dependent. If a safari or dune activity must be cancelled or cut short for safety reasons (dust storms, extreme heat, access alerts near border areas), we first offer a reschedule or substitute activity; if neither works for you, we refund the affected portion in full.
7. How To Cancel
- Send your cancellation request by email to [email protected] or WhatsApp to +91 96497 66999, quoting your booking ID and travel date.
- The cancellation is effective on the date and time we acknowledge it — so keep confirmation handy.
- Verbal requests to drivers, camp staff or guides are not treated as valid cancellations.
